Sydney Acrobatics School was established 2002. The purpose of the school is to provide ever changing high level Circus Performances providing multi-skilled performers and flexible genres, along with providing the highest standards of training for like minded motivated individuals and groups alike. The team includes Acrobats, Multi-skilled Circus Performers, Graphic LED Light Performers, Gymnasts, Dancers, Fire Dancers & Jugglers. – spirit of fun and support for everyone is utmost priority.

Private Lessons (*Please make sure you understand conditions of bookings – detailed below)

– simple look into the park behind the tree shade and we will be set up there
with groundsheets and crashmats etc. In the case of bad weather we either move indoors to one of 2 locations or reschedule, but you will receive notice if this is ever the case.

Certificates are offered at a discount rate and valid for 4 months from the purchase date unless otherwise stated. Classes must be booked and attended by the expiry date. Certificates are not refundable. The person attending the class must be the named person on the gift certificate unless otherwise stated. Outdoor session can be used for indoor sessions with additional room hire fee – normally $20 per session – subject to availability.

Terms and Conditions
Group Term Class Sessions – Conditions
We ask that our clients do not book any sessions or Term classes if they are in any way unsure, if they are not certain, or have not definitely already fully committed to it,
as that books in our time, days, schedule, hire, instructors, and everyone’s personal life around those – we cannot offer refunds, or transfers in date etc after booked for any reason. Once you make payment, that immediately enrols you and blocks out the spot to others, if you then decide for any reason that you made a mistake or have a change in personal circumstance or similar then this just causes us time effort and cost. – we cannot offer refunds after booked and term starts for any reason.
These are 5 week consecutive weekly classes, we allocate a limited group of people to provide sessions for a limited time period, we run the class depending on minimum and maximum numbers
once enrolled and have the numbers – we then hire the venue and allocate instructors timeslots and commit to running the class, we will be there to provide you the class – we do not benefit in any way if you do not attend – we cannot offer refunds or credits for any of these classes for any reason. We cannot then go back and go through all admin etc and effort again to advertise and replace your spot.
– if no show or cancellation Term classes for any reason – we simply cannot offer refunds or credits
Please do not book into Term Acrobatic Classes if you cannot do or are resistant to do very basic movements such as Forward Roll on crashmat/wedge, Backward roll on crashmat/wedge, or scared of being upside down, or able to support yourself on your hands (with a support person) – these are very basic requirements for you to participate in an acro class.
Please do not book into Term Acrobatic classes if you have pre-existing injuries that will likely flare up, or cause you discomfort in an acrobatics class, that you cannot work through – eg wrist, ankle, back, neck etc.
Please do not book into Acrobatic Term classes if you are overweight to the extent that you cannot do basic Forward Rolls, Backward Rolls, Inversions.
Please follow the instructors instructions, if you do not then minor sprains, strains, injuries, bruises can occur quite easily. If you are uncertain of any movement then please ask assistance from the instructor. If you do not think you can do any movement in class then do not do it, please do not try and do something you do not think you are capable of.
Please do not to arrive late for class, you will miss vital safety warmups
Note: TRANSFERRABLE CLASSES – Often sessions are transferrable, it is often ok if you simply find a replacement person to fill your spot if you are not using it – but we cannot be expected to fill in spots and holes that you leave in our schedule booked in places that you have booked for yourself.
Note: CREDITS – On special occasions, you may be offered credits for term classes if there is uncertainty you cannot use them for some prior arranged reason. If this is offered, then it means we have taken the responsibility to fill in any gaps you leave – you must give us advance warning (48 hours before Term Starts to be fair) so that we can have an opportunity to fill the spots you are leaving empty. Please also understand Credits are not Refunds – Credits cannot be exchanged for refunds under any circumstances. Credits can be used at other times within 3 months (but you must book in for these to make sure there is space). Credits can also be transferred to a friend, as long as the gap is filled.
Note: COUPLES/FRIENDS – By the nature of Acrobatics, often couples or friends book in together, which is a great thing as you have confidence and support of your partner there. However, what can often happen is one partner is keen and very able but the other is reluctantly dragged along or does not feel able to do acrobatics at all. We cannot be expected to predetermine and cater for this if you later decide after classes that you don’t want to do it anymore because of the reluctant partner, or your partner is absent for any reason – this leaves us with not ONE but TWO empty spots. All we can offer is we can adjust and support things once we see a person having difficulty (for following classes) who has likely been ‘convinced’ to come along as a partner. All we can further suggest is at least the able partner comes or find another friend to come with.
Alterations
Alterations or special condition partial refunds incur a $50 administration fee for all transactions.
Reservation of Rights
We do reserve the right to cancel classes if our instructor or venue is ever somehow incapacitated – in this case we will offer offering a single credit, usually simply to be used the week after (or in some cases refund).
Private Sessions
You are allocating our time, schedule and preparation for a timeslot in a day.
We ask that our clients do not book any session if they are in any way unsure if they have not already fully committed to it, as that books in our time, day and weekly schedule and blocks out other people and other activities, we also organise our professional’s days around minimum callouts – we cannot later go back, refill gaps or refill spots or offer refunds.
(Please note that when you pay to make a booking with us – YOU ARE BOOKED IN – you are immediately scheduled and we plan for your session and block out your timeslot – you do not need to ask for confirmation, or further e-mails, or phone calls to make absolutely sure you are definitely booked in – it is ok, you are booked in. Please also be aware that we are not always in the office answering e-mails – we are happily normally out teaching, performing, rehearsing, training or generally living and organising our family lives around our work and classes – but we do not miss bookings)
– if you alter or cancel private lessons within 3 days / 72 hours – 100% forfeit – if you alter or cancel private lessons within 3 – 4 days – 50% forfeit – if you alter or cancel private lessons within 4 – 7 days, then can reorganise for a different day within 7 days, we cannot offer refunds. Note: Often sessions are transferable, it is often ok if you simply find a replacement person to fill your spot if you are not using it – but we cannot be expected to fill in spots and holes that you leave in our schedule booked in places that you have.
Homebush bookings are made in advance with the centre so require 7 days notice or we cannot offer refunds or reschedule.
If Sydney Acrobatics School need to cancel any outdoor session due to bad weather on the day then you can reschedule to another time within 2 weeks.
If you make a booking then just simply pull out without ever doing it, and you are outwith the 7 day period above – then there is a 50% fee. Time is the most important and valuable thing for us, please do not disrespect it.
Children’s Classes
1. Children must be able to follow instructions from the instructor, and be able to stay with the group in the class.
If they cannot, then for safety reasons they may need to be asked to sit out of the class for an allocated period.
2. For safety reasons it is a policy of ALL children’s NSW gymnastic classes
that parents/guardians do not stay for the classes. Otherwise the situation
occurs where the children may not stay with the class, responsible person is unclear to children and coach, and duty of care and
safety is diminished. Please assist us maintain this safety aspect of the classes.
3. If you have something to say to the instructor, please do before or after class,
as we cannot interrupt children’s class once commenced.
4. Please do not arrive late for class, as children may miss vital warmups and other vital safety instructions.
5. Please let us know if the child has any special needs before booking eg autism.
Events – Performances / Parties / Events
All Events require 50% non-refundable deposit upon booking, this books in our time and staff, and initiate us to plan and rehearse and if necessary purchase equipment for your event. Please respect that this excludes our performers from taking any other work as they are booked by you. Balance payment is due 2 weeks prior to Event.
Special Note for Outdoor Events – Warning
If your event is outdoors and you have booked performances (and in particular juggling or fire shows), then you must be aware that these shows may be severely compromised, unable to be performed, unsafe or need to be cancelled due to bad weather. We will always do everything we can to do the show for you (we have rehearsed, made costumes, etc booked in the time and will be there – but if the weather at your outdoor event is either a) too windy or b) too wet or c) otherwise not fit to perform then these shows may be not be able to go ahead. We cannot be held responsible for bad weather at your outdoor event causing this to be the case.

Performances and Classes images
It is a condition of hire that we may also take photographs or videos of ourselves (mostly always just us in the frame but may also necessarily include the odd background or crowd shot) at our performances or classes, and may use them further for our purposes, including our website or other personal advertising purposes (it is the nature of the business that we see these to keep improving our shows and classes, and many clients [likely including yourself] will ask for images or short video clips of our work) – this allows us to continue what we do and be the best we can be for our clients. Please discuss beforehand if you do not wish to be photographed or filmed.
